I rewatched One piece 15 years late... to be precise I tried to rewatch it

One Piece came out in 1999, I started watching it about 10 years ago. I loved it, it was funny, exciting and very entertaining. I had not seen it in a while so I decided to rewatch it.

before I started I tried to recollect what it was like for me and why I liked it so much.

what I thought i liked was the humor, the animation and the types of adventure. I never thought about the animation, storyline or overall quality.

To be honest the minute I started I was excited, the first episode was funny and entertaining but ... I couldn't stop noticing the way everything was so stretched out, the animation was no the best and there was no real deep story.

Don't get me wrong it's a classic anime that everyone should see, the first few season are entertaining - to a point. There are some funny scenes and you do want to watch the next episode to see what is going to happen but to be totally honest it just felt that the creators said to themselves " how can we stretch a simple pirate story to be over 1000 episodes long?"

I less appreciated the latest seasons as they were less humanistic and more bloody and violent.

I do however still do recommend you to start watching if you haven't seen it ( not likely if you are an anime fan), its fun.
